Summary
HeySummit is a British online-event platform that specialises in virtual summits: registration pages, multi-speaker schedules, a speaker dashboard, rich ticketing (passes, add-ons, instalments), speaker affiliates, sponsors and reminder e-mails. It does not stream video: each talk goes through Zoom, YouTube, BigMarker… or HeyStream, their studio sold separately.
LearnFloo streams it itself: a live room with scenes, chat, questions, on-screen offer, hosted replay, live subtitles and simulcast. And the event happens in your space: registrants stay afterwards, with the community, the courses and your next live sessions. Payment goes to your Stripe, with no commission.
The real difference: HeySummit orchestrates an event around video tools you pay for separately, and then the relationship ends. LearnFloo streams, sells and keeps the audience. Stay on HeySummit for a large 30-speaker summit with sponsors and advanced affiliates. Choose LearnFloo if your events should feed a community and a course.
Video: built in or plugged in
HeySummit says it itself: it is not a webinar tool and does not replace your streaming account. Each talk is a link to Zoom, BigMarker, YouTube Live, Vimeo, StreamYard… or to HeyStream, their streaming studio sold separately (from $49 a month for 100 viewers). HeySummit does not store videos: the replay is the video tool’s link, and so are the subtitles.
LearnFloo streams it itself, in the browser: high-audience webinar, video call, StreamYard-style scenes, guests without an account, screen sharing, PDFs and videos on screen. The replay is hosted and keeps its chat, live subtitles offer up to three translations, and the live can go out to YouTube or LinkedIn at the same time or take an OBS feed.
Verdict: With HeySummit, you pay for and connect a second tool for the video. With LearnFloo, streaming is part of the price.
Running a summit: where HeySummit is ahead
The virtual summit is HeySummit’s core: a multi-day schedule with tracks, a page per talk and per speaker, a dashboard where each speaker fills in their profile and gets their affiliate link, talk voting, sponsor booths, rich tickets (replay pass, early bird, add-ons, instalments) and reminders before each talk an attendee picked.
LearnFloo has the building blocks: live sessions with speakers invited by a simple link, series of live sessions with a single registration, premieres at a set time, paid seats and waiting list, offer during the live, per-space affiliates, e-mail campaigns. But not yet the “summit” object that brings them together on a schedule page with a speaker area. It is planned.
Verdict: For a large summit with 20 to 40 speakers and sponsors, HeySummit is more complete today.
After the event: where LearnFloo keeps going
On HeySummit, the event is a parenthesis: replays stay available while the event is active on a paid plan, and the relationship with attendees then goes through your CRM. A light “course” mode orders the sessions, but there is no community.
With LearnFloo, the event happens in your space. Every registrant becomes a member: they find the feed, video courses, gamification, groups and your next live sessions, and receive the automatic digest. The prospect score computed during the live follows them, and pass buyers get their content straight away.
Verdict: HeySummit fills an event. LearnFloo fills an event and turns it into a community.
Connecting your tools
HeySummit connects natively to 18 e-mail and CRM tools (HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Kit, Mailchimp…) and to Zapier, and offers an API and an MCP server to manage events, talks, speakers and attendees from an AI assistant. Dashboard webhooks are reserved for the Success plan.
LearnFloo has no native CRM connectors: it exposes a public API documented in three languages, 72 signed webhooks (registration, attendance, qualified prospect, payment…) and an MCP server, on every tier. Ask Claude or ChatGPT for the hot prospects of the last live, or to schedule the next one.
Verdict: If your e-mail tool is on their list, HeySummit connects without code. To drive everything by webhooks and MCP, LearnFloo goes further.
Pricing: subscription and commission, versus usage
HeySummit charges a subscription by number of registrants and active events: Starter at €33 excl. VAT a month billed yearly (250 registrants, 1 event, 4% commission), Growth at €65 (1,000 registrants, 10 events, 2%), Success at €154 (unlimited events, 1%), plus blocks of 1,000 registrants. Monthly, count about €38, €77 and €184 excl. VAT. The streaming tool comes on top.
LearnFloo is paid as you go, VAT included, streaming included: €6.50 per webinar hour broadcast, €0.025 per viewer per hour, €10 a month per space, €30 a month to sell with no commission. Four 90-minute lives with 300 viewers and €3,000 in tickets come to about €132 a month, against €137 VAT included for HeySummit Growth alone (including €60 of commission) and €310 with HeyStream.
In a very large month, the HeySummit subscription alone is cheaper: eight two-hour lives with 1,000 viewers cost about €505 on LearnFloo, against €380 VAT included on HeySummit, but without streaming: with HeyStream, it goes up to €844.
Verdict: Streaming included, LearnFloo costs less at every volume. If you already pay for Zoom Webinars, HeySummit alone becomes cheaper for large events.
